Following the release of Assassin’s Creed Origins and Wolftenstein II: The New Colossus, PlayStation 4 loyalists have quite the to-do list to check off. Call of Duty: WW2 will soon be entering the picture, with Star Wars: Battlefront II right behind it. If you’re trying to take a break from blockbuster AAA titles this season, however, November’s PlayStation Plus lineup will be sure to please with a variety of smaller indie experiences. It’s also a great month for owners of the PSVR.
According to Digital Trends, November 7th is the day PSVR users will be able to grab Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, a new edition in the PS4 Until Dawn series that sends gamers plowing through scary enemies and taking rides on crazy roller coasters.
Keep in mind that RoB is just an extra bonus to PS Plus members this month, and it’s a replacement for RIGS: Mechanized Combat League, another PSVR game offered as a one-year anniversary celebration gift. This celebration, however, has been extended. Rush of Blood is available for all PS Plus members until January 2nd.
Other than that, the standard lineup for November includes Bound, the eagerly awaited 2016 indie game featuring a mysterious ballet dancer who elegantly bounces throughout a magnificent and eerie dream world. Bound is excellent for the PS4, and even better for PSVR. November is the first month to receive two PSVR compatible game offerings at once.
The last slot goes to Worms Battlegrounds, the 2014 turn-based strategy game starring a full fleshed campaign. The game relies heavily on local and P2P multiplayer. With Sony’s cross-buy feature, PS4 owners will also be able to try out Dungeon Punks, a fantasy beat-’em-up arcade classic with RPG elements. Dungeon Punks is accessible to PS Vita gamers as well.
Besides the classic Dungeon Punks, Vita holders will also be able to experience nostalgia with the point-and-click style gameplay in Broken Sword 5: The Serpent’s Curse. Fortunately for fans, both Episodes 1 and 2 are completely free for the month.
For those still on the PS3 platform, R-Type Dimensions will temporarily be available. It’s a fun, fast-paced shoot ’em up arcade game with non-stop classic arcade action with higher quality graphics. It’s sad to say, however, that the PS3’s offerings are slowly starting to dwindle to lower quality titles. We saw that earlier this year with the featuring of Rag Doll Kung Fu: Fists of Plastic, which completes our November lineup.
You’ll have until Monday, November 6, to grab October’s PS Plus lineup. The new lineup takes over on the 7th.
